needs a change of direction
I had an amazing childhood. I remember it being full of happiness fun and love.
At school I was a summer born. I worked hard at school and achieved average grades. At this time I had no intention to do further study as I knew I wanted to go into the care industry from my experience and voluntary work.
After a few years as a senior carer I knew that I would need to do further study to be able to make a difference. I studied and got further G.C.S.E.’s and then A levels. I then went to university as a mature student and qualified as an Occupational Therapist. I have worked in the NHS for the last 19 years.
In that time like everyone I have experienced some mayor life events. Some that have changed my life for the better and some that have made me re-evaluate pieces of my life.
One of the major life events was losing both my parents so young. This was devastating. There’s not a day go by when I don’t miss them crazily but I am so appreciative of every special moment we shared, every word we spoke, and every card letter and gift we ever gave. Theses memories will last forever.
In 2012 I had my little boy Jayden. Anyone with children will know how much this changes you as a person and how priorities quickly change.
Over the years there have been other significant events that have impacted on who I am now and where I am today as a person. Some of these events have brought great sadness and some of these events have taught me a lesson in life. There have also been many special times through my journey.
What we learn as we get older is that the most important thing in life is spending time with the people we love and making memories.
Life is about the beautiful, colourful and fun things. Things that make us feel loved, things that make us smile, and things that we can share with the people we love.
So, in July 2019 I decided to start a new venture to re balance my life. I decided to start a business with beauty, colour, and fun in mind. As my ideas developed I wanted to incorporate butterflies, hearts, fairies, rainbows, glitter and sparkle, all those things that make us smile and feel happy.
Over the past few months the initial stages have been completed and the business became known as Sparkling Glitter and Rainbows.
So this is the start of my journey. I hope you enjoy it as much as me. I don’t just want to just sell products, for those of you who would like to share the story behind their gift or experience you are buying that would be great and I will hopefully incorporate some of these stories along the way in my blog. When you buy an anniversary mug its not just a mug its possible a celebration of 25 years of very special memories. If you buy a pack of balloons, that product will likely be part of someone’s special memories for a long time. For those of you who would like to share a story or a celebration please do.
